Did you know that if you give your file a name that matches any word on an arbitrary list on 4shared they’ll tag your file as suspected of being illegal or in violation of copyright laws? Apparently the word “filmstrip” is one of those words. Who’da thunk it? I wanted to share my filmstrips with you on the kick-off day of my stint with World Scrapping Tour, but 4shared had to go and spoil the fun.
Oh, well! I’m not one to let others spoil my enthusiasm, so we’ll try it again.
But first I’d like to let all my new visitors in on a little secret - I’ve got a bit of a challenge going on here at Pieces & Pixels. Using any of my freebies (you can find all of them by clicking on “Freebies” in the Category list in the right-hand column), post a layout in my gallery and you’ll earn my fabulous fall kit! It’s so easy and the kit has some really wonderful papers and elements. Check out the small preview on the right…:
So download anything you like and show me how you use it. Just do it before September 30!
Hey, do any of you like old movies? I just spent a day working and watching Cary Grant classics - An Affair to Remember, Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House and My Favorite Wife. Gosh, they don’t make them like that anymore, do they? There’s just such a hopefulness and optimism and joy in these films. I understand that they don’t reflect the reality of the times, but they just make me feel so good. Why are most of today’s movies so intent on being “real” or depicting a crazed, twisted or altered reality? I could use a good dose of what Jimmy Stewart and Cary Grant had to share on a regular basis.
Sorry about the off-topic meandering, but these movies had me feeling so cheerful I wanted to share. So hows about I share a freebie, instead? Do you want that filmstrip I tried to give you yesterday? Well, here you go…
