Can Cabin Fever Cause Printer Ink Emergency?

January 7th, 2008

Snow.

We finally had some.

For a brief, beautiful half-day yesterday, we had snow on the ground and fat, fluffy flakes floating with fairy-like grace to settle into drifts and piles.  The kids got excited.  I dreamed of magical photos with snowball fights and well-dressed snowmen.

Alas, it wasn’t to be.  The temperature inched up and up until it was just above freezing by midafternoon and the individual flakes turned to big, wet plops of slushy sleet.  So, instead, I got cranky kids who were going stir-crazy being cooped up indoors.

Thank goodness today was Monday and the kids could go back to school. Except my youngest one has been battling an upper-respiratory infection and his hacking cough hasn’t let up in six days, so he had to stay home.  I never thought I’d hear a kid complain about playing Wii.

Now that school is back in full swing, though, my girls are bugging me constantly for print projects and I’m going through ink like crazy.  And it even seems they’re dreaming up extra projects just to test my resolve.  I’m facing a print cartridge emergency and if you’re anything like me, you don’t like spending more than necessary on printing projects that have little or no archival value.  This is when I start looking for good deals on remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges for my printer.  Lucky for me, Dresden has no shortage of refill shops and discount ink cartridges but it was much harder to find when I lived in the States.  Since I’m all about convenience, internet ordering is my preferred method for getting what I need and InkjetDeals.info makes it easy for me to find a cheap Hewlett Packard printer ink cartridge for my PhotoSmart printer.

The site aggregates links to discount ink sellers, provides available coupon codes for special offers and offers tips for choosing the right ink for your printer and saving ink when printing.  Kind of a one-stop shop for all your ink needs including inkjet and laser toner in OEM, remanufactured and compatible cartridges. I’m all about saving a few bucks, though I’ll stick with the OEM cartridges for my photo-printing needs.

Today I felt like I needed a little cheeriness, so I’m offering a spring-like paper pack as a freebie. Nothing big, mind you, but a little spot of color in an otherwise gray day.  Enjoy! And don’t forget to leave your comments up above.  It’s all I ask.
