It seems templates are my thing these days.  I love working with a design independent of elements and photos and then deciding what it suggests to me.  I’ve been wanting to play with funky circles for a while now and hadn’t really decided on a direction until I browsed back through the January issue of Memory Makers Magazine and found a paper layout by Master, Tracy Austin, that used cut-away circles against a corrugated paper background in shades of white. While mine bears only a passing resemblance, I thought it was enough to give a nod to her creativity.

I played around with “Distort” and “Warp” in Photoshop to my heart’s content and finally settled on a template I was happy with.  In the end, it suggested snowballs to me, so that’s what I followed up with.  Here’s my finished layout with a link to the template. (Sorry, download link has expired.)

The background papers are discontinued clearance items I bought several months ago at Daisy Company (so adorable and retro!) and the foil snowflakes were a freebie from Rachel Young. The rest is the template.

I’d love to see other interpretations of this.  My last template was completely transformed when one visitor doubled it - so cool!  Leave a comment if you download - I like knowing if my work is appreciated.

Tschüss!
