Hey There, Race Fans!
I’m slacking. I know. Here we are coming up on the deadline for Challenges #5 and #6 and I haven’t even shared our third and fourth submissions.
The third challenge ended up being an optional one because the sponsor’s prize had a cost involved. It wasn’t a big deal - just $5 to cover shipping costs for a CD of digi supplies valued at about $25. In the end, Digital Scrapbook Memories resolved it by making the challenge optional and offering an optional alternative prize. The challenge was to make a page about ourselves and fill more than half the page with journaling. No other restrictions. Both Jen and I completed this one (mainly because Jen’s a go-getter and a prolific scrapper while I’m plagued by guilt that she’s shouldering our burden) and here’s what we came up with…
…and …
The fourth challenge was similar, in that journaling was a big part of the assignment. Our instructions from Oscraps were to "Spill It!" We had to tell a story - funny, sad, angry, whatever - and pair it with one large picture and the use of a blending mode somewhere in the layout. Also, our journaling was required to take up at least one fourth of the page. Get it? One-fourth… fourth challenge?
So here’s what we did…
…and …
We’re both hard at work on our layouts due this Sunday and I’ll show you the results as soon as I get Jen’s. Just wait until you see the way our challenge number five collided. It’s another of those strange coincidences.
Tschüss!
