Down on the Farm
How do you eat corn on the cob?
I mean, assuming you don’t cut it off the cob first, do you eat it round and round then, moving left or right, continue stripping the cob from one end to the other? Or do you eat it ‘typewriter’ style in a straight line all the way across then twist up to do the same with the next row?
Now it gets a little weird… if you eat it like a typewriter, did you grow up on a farm? I know! It’s a strange question but you’ll be settling an argument between my husband and me. I think that the way you eat corn has little to do with where you grew up or even how you were “taught” but my husband believes that people who grew up on a farm eat it typewriter-style (because he spent time growing up on a farm and that’s how he eats it - I know, the logic is flawed.)
So, help me settle the argument, will you?
Oh! And in the Wordart vs. Template challenge, Wordart is winning by a slim margin after 19 comments so I’m going to go with that first. If you missed it before, you can still comment on the earlier post for a chance to win the Songbird Avenue gift card so go back a couple of days and see what you’ve been missing.
Here’s the wordart…

Gorgeous template. Thank you so much!
typewriter style eater here!
Thanks so much for the word art!
I eat it like a typewriter…not a farm girl though. My Dad grew up on a farm & thought corn was only for feeding the livestock. lol Thanks for the awesome wordart.
I was raised by “city folks” in a small town. We all eat typewriter style. I dont think I have ever seen anyone, even my city relatives, eat corn that way.
I eat it round and round and I didn’t grow up on a farm. LOL

Wort Art!! Yipee!!!
Thanks so very much, Gina Maria. Have a wonderful weekend.
Typewriter-style eater here. I grew up in the city (granted a small one) as did both my parents & we’re all “typewriter-style.”
Great word art!
You mean there is more than one way to eat corn?! I do the typewriter version, and I SORT of grew up on a farm. We had 10 acres and animals, but didn’t grow anything other than tons of veggies in our 1 acre garden.
And LOVE the word art!!

Not from a farm, but I eat it typewriter style. I am so ready for some farm fresh sweet corn!
sorry, looks like hubby is winning. I grew up on a farm and eat typewriter style. Continue to do so even though I live far away from any farm life!

Well, I feel I do a bit of both but lean more towards the typewriter style and I grew up on a farm until I was 10.
Lovely word art - my dd is wrapping up a gift album for her bf today and she may be able to use it - thanks!

When I was younger, I ate it like a typewriter and we lived on a farm and grew corn. Then we moved to the city, even though it is a small one, and now, not even realizing the change, I eat one bite wide all the way around the cob and then move to the right. Yes, this is a weird question. LOL
thanks so much for the word art!!!
As far as the ears of corn: I eat mine round and round and my brother eats his typewriter style and we both grew up in the same house, in the city! I know, I’m not much help
