Having a Difficult Day

June 9th, 2008

Would you believe I just checked my 9-year-old daughter into the hospital?  Yeah.  She spent the weekend with a friend and a tiny little thing turned into a really big thing.  Her friend tossed her a hair brush and Hannah didn’t see it coming.  It hit her in the eye and now she has a large blind spot with blurred edges.  No visible injury, though, so after two days with eye specialists they’re admitting her for an MRI and bloodwork.  I’m trying really hard to believe that it’s nothing and they’ll find that it’s cleared up before the results are even evaluated, but she’s still not seeing well after 48 hours, so I don’t know what to think.

Please just keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you.

(((Hugs))) and prayers for you daughter. I can understand your concern. I hurt my own eye by accident last year and it took about 4 days to feel better. The opthamologist said the eye heals very quickly, to I hope that is the case for her, too!
