Behind every successful man stands a surprised mother-in-law.
~ Hubert Humphrey

Only An Aunt…

Can give hugs
Like a mother…

Can keep secrets
Like a sister…

And share love
Like a friend…

There’s nothing that’s nicer
than having a niece
Who’s always a pleasure to see;
Who brings so much sunshine
to all those around her
Wherever she happens to be;

Who means more than ever
as each day goes by,
Who’s loved all year through;

There’s nothing that’s nicer
than having a niece
As dear and as special as you!

Mother In Law

How blessed we are,
How fortunate we’ve been.
That you are his Mother,
And also my friend!

Family Faces
by Gail L. BuckleyFamily faces are magic mirrors.
Looking at the people who belong to us, we see the past, present and future.

Family
by Mary ScottOur family is a circle of
strength and love,
With every birth
and every union,
the circle grows.
Every crisis faced together
makes the circle stronger.
Every joy shared
adds more love.
Say Cheese!
We begged and we pleaded for them all to say “cheese”,
But only the eldest were aiming to please.
So how many more years do you think it will take,
Until all of the cousins will cooperate?

Way Too Much Fun!

Oh, tell me, please tell me, is there a trick,
to get Cousins to sit still, even real quick?
One giggles, one wiggles, one tugs on another.

One crawls, one tickles, then they pile on each other.

When all is said and done, taking pictures with cousins is way too much fun!

Cousins are Cozy

Cousins are cozy
Wherever they’re from;
They feel like your family
Whenever they come.
Some people have many;
Most people have some.
Cousins are cozy
Wherever they’re from.

Family Ties
by Virginia Moore

Family ties are precious things,
Woven through the years,
Of memories of togetherness,
Of laughter, love and tears.

Family ties are cherished things,
Forged in childhood days,
By love of parents, deep and true,
And sweet familiar ways.

Family ties are treasured things,
And far though we may roam,
The tender bonds with those we love,
Still pull our hearts toward home.

Like branches on a tree, we may grow in different directions, yet our roots remain as one.
